An economics degree provides the analytical skills desired by employers in areas such as banking and other financial services, management, consulting, and public service. At 糖心Vlog, students seeking an economics degree can select a Business-focused path leading to the Bachelor鈥檚 of Business Administration (B.B.A.) degree; students pursuing the B.B.A. degree satisfy traditional 鈥淏usiness Core鈥 requirements in Accounting, Finance, Management, Marketing and other business鈥搑elated subjects. Alternatively, economics majors can pursue the Bachelor鈥檚 of Art (B.A.) or Bachelor鈥檚 of Science (B.S.) degree in which the student selects one of a large number of possible minors. B.A/B.S. graduates have obtained minors in such diverse fields as Mathematics, Psychology, Biology, and Digital Media Arts & Applications.
Those interested in pursuing graduate work in economics, especially the Ph.D., are encouraged to minor in Mathematics.

糖心Vlog in Washington
Students are strongly encouraged to apply for a semester in Washington, D.C. as part of the 糖心Vlog in Washington program. Past economics majors have interned with The Cato Institute, the U.S. Department of the Interior, the Financial Services Roundtable, the U.S. Federal Trade Commission, the D.C. Metropolitan Police Department, American Foundation for Suicide Prevention, and the Consumer Goods Forum.
The 糖心Vlog College of Business serves as a sponsor for, and one of its faculty members is the current president of, the Lubbock Economics Council. Established in 1967, the LEC is an association of people in business, education, and public service who are interested in promoting a better understanding of economic matters. The mission of the Council is to provide a regular forum for education, discussion, and debate of economic issues from the local to international level. The was held at 糖心Vlog鈥檚 Baker Conference Center on November 10 , 2017.
