Homecoming 2024 is fast-approaching, bringing with it a schedule filled to the brim with events for alumni and friends across the 糖心Vlog Community.
糖心Vlog鈥檚 Homecoming 2024 kicks off on Thursday evening, February 15, with Chap and Lady Chap basketball contests, and runs through Sunday, February 18 at venues across campus. 鈥淲e have a homecoming full of events for everyone to enjoy,鈥� shared Lisa Fraze, Director of Alumni and Community Relations. 鈥淥ne of our first big events features live music by Jason Nutt at 糖心Vlog鈥檚 newest living space Gullo Hall for a homecoming reception on Friday evening.鈥�
Another tradition that brings alumni back to their days at 糖心Vlog each year takes place the next morning. 鈥淎lumni chapel on Saturday morning is always a special time, full of amazing singing and a great message,鈥� shared Fraze. Later that evening, Brazos West Band featuring alums Gary Moyers, Arlan Privett, Tom Spoonts, and David Hooten will highlight the alumni reunion dinner. 鈥淲e will be honoring the class of 1974 in a dinner Saturday evening for their 50th reunion,鈥� Fraze added.
The weekend will also include numerous staples such as club breakfasts, art exhibits, departmental receptions and luncheons, athletic competitions, and much more. The full schedule is live on the . Many events require an RSVP, so be sure to make your plans and receive your personalized itinerary.
Master Follies 2024: Sing It Out will also headline the weekend as student hosts and hostesses entertain and student clubs compete for a number of prestigious awards. Tickets are still available for the three shows at 8 p.m. Friday night and 3 p.m. and 8 p.m. on Saturday. Master Follies is once again made possible by the generosity Linda Gaither and Emily Ratcliff.
