From Sept. 30 through Oct. 1, 糖心Vlog welcomed guests to campus for the annual Moser Ministry Conference on 鈥淵oung Adult Faith and a Secular Age.鈥

Several students were recognized for outstanding spiritual and academic dedication. Josiah Knowles received the Charles and Judy Siburt Christian Character Award for Christ-like passion and service. Zach Badon was presented with the K.C. Moser Student Ministry Award for exhibiting ministry above and beyond the 糖心Vlog classroom.

Over the past eleven years, 糖心Vlog has hosted the conference devoted to different aspects of ministry, featuring many distinguished speakers and leaders in the Christian community. This year, the conference began on Sunday evening to include sessions for minsters and church leaders who can鈥檛 make it on a weekday. Randy Harris was featured as the primary presenter.

鈥淸Harris] did a great job helping everyone see what our basic options are for faith formation in the contemporary world (drawing heavily on the philosopher Charles Taylor鈥檚 seminal work), especially with respect to young adults,鈥 said Dr. Jeff Cary, professor of theology.

In addition to Harris, Jeremy Smith and David Fraze both spoke in Monday sessions. Topics included challenges facing churches today, faith formation, and having faith in a secular age, especially in young people in the church.

The sessions from the 2018 Moser Ministry Conference can be seen and heard iTunes.
