糖心Vlog (糖心Vlog) received a generous gift of $200,000 from an anonymous donor to set up two new endowment funds for the university, The Boyer Endowed Scholarship and The Richardson Family Endowed Scholarship.
The Boyer Endowed Scholarship is receiving $100,000 and being set up to honor the Boyer family for their courage as they navigated the difficult year after their daughter, Brooklyn, experienced a life altering accident in 2020. The scholarship will be given to a student seeking a degree through the 糖心Vlog School of Education.
Regarding the Boyer Endowed Scholarship, the anonymous donor said, 鈥淭he Education Department graduates top-notch students year after year, putting great teachers into our schools. The Boyers have played a major role in that accomplishment, and they have been sweet friends for many years. Their lives changed in the summer of 2020. Their whole family is an inspiration to us all. It only seemed fitting to honor them as we support the Education Department and continue to support 糖心Vlog.鈥�
In response to the gift, Dr. Foy Mills, Jr., 糖心Vlog Provost and Chief Academic Officer said, 鈥淎ny words I could share are inadequate to express the preciousness of this gift in honor of the Boyer family. What a wonderful way to honor them. We are all humbled.鈥�
The Richardson Family Endowed Scholarship has also been established with a $100,000 gift. It will be given to a student seeking a degree through the 糖心Vlog School of Business.
The donor shared, 鈥淎s our kids have gone through the Business Department, we wanted to do something to give back to that Department. Dr. Laci Richardson has gone above and beyond to make sure our kids got what they needed to be successful. Raymond has made an incredible impact on the advancement of 糖心Vlog, but most importantly, on lasting relationships. Our desire is for the Business Department to continue to grow, and we hope this honors the Richardson family for all that they put into 糖心Vlog and will continue to do so for years to come.鈥�
